Braxton’s AP blog

 Today i was able to be in my project group and brainstorm with them. We worked on out project all of class. It was a smooth day.

 Today i was not in class i went home early. I went to sleep to get over my headache. I watched "The Walking Dead", ate dinner, and went back to sleep.

 Today we went over our bell ringer which was just us giving definitions to some words. I was shocked when we got the full definition of analyze because i thought it was to examine. We also took some more notes in the packet and went over our homework from last night. We had to analyze pictures not summarize.

 Today we were given packets that have different sources. These are supposed to be on our exam and we now get to use this packet to write notes. We went over what a synthesis essay is and that will also be on our exam. I think i'd be better at that one to be honest.

 Today i wasn't in fourth long enough to write anything about class. We have a game and i have to leave class early. We won 0-17. GO SAINTS!

 Today i left school early. I left in second period to go to a doctors appointment for my head. They consulted a neurosurgeon who told me i can't cheer or be in any active sport for at least 3 weeks. I was bummed but not too bummed because at least i can watch the game and cheer on my cheer friends.

 Today i wasn't in 4th i had a neurological appointment to go to. I found out i still have a concussion and won't be able to cheer for 3 weeks.

 Today we wrote our argumentative essays. I am confident that i did well i just have some doubts. I finished mine with time to spare. I was able to read over my work and have time after that. I feel pretty confident about the AP Exam. At least the time that i have.

 Today in class we went over a poem "I'm Nobody! Who are you?". It was a poem about being different. There are different people and then the people that are normal and want to live up to standards. We then read another poem about the heart. While analyzing we talked about why the heart is the heart and what it means to us.

 Today we had a sub. We did our test, and i feel as if i did well. After we finished the test it was around the time to leave so we just chilled until then.

 Today we went over our classes paragraphs. We did this and gave corrections so we could be better for the test tomorrow.  We did that most of the class period and then went over the correct steps for writing our essays for tomorrow.

 Today we analyzed a poem. The poem was about a man going into the woods and stopping to watch it fill up with snow. We made a T chart to compare the Literal and Figurative things in the poem, and came up with many claims and evidence for those. We finished off class by doing the questions for the poem in Google Classroom.

 Today in class we analyzed another story. It was about a boy that took life for granted. He wanted to go to heaven and be able to come back. Mr. Rease said we all have a purpose in life, but i think i’m still looking for mine .

 Today we analyzed a story about a boy who cut his hand off. We came up with different ways that he could have died at the end because it was unclear. We also talked about why its better to stay a child for as long as we can.

 Today i didn't go to 4th. I went to the doctor because my back was still hurting. They said it might have something to do with my c5 disk which is in the spine. Hopefully it's just muscular.

 Today was the first day of me coming back after my accident. I didn't wear my neck brace and maybe that wasn't a smart decision. In class today i came late to the benchmark so we did that. Luckily everyone else needed extra time as well. We did that the whole class period.

 I stayed home due to injuries from a car accident and slept. I took plenty of medicine that I was prescribed. I had a very boring week and lost my car until it gets fixed. I pretty much did the same thing all week and was in and out of the hospital.

 Today we learned about Thesis and Thesis statement. Thesis is your point. There are different types of thesis statements which are The 3 point thesis statement and then an umbrella thesis statement. We use thesis statements in essays or in any type of paragraphs.
